Explore the imaginative work of Leroy Johnson, a self-taught artist who used painting, sculpture, and found materials to tell stories about community, history, and everyday life. Students will discover how artists can transform ordinary and discarded objects into meaningful works of art while exploring how personal experiences and the places we call home can inspire creative expression.

Students will learn art terms and new techniques. We will use a variety of media each month, including acrylic, watercolor, oil pastels, chalks and more.
