Get ready to put art in motion as we explore Jackson Pollock and the energetic world of Abstract Expressionism! Students will discover how movement, rhythm, color, and experimentation helped Pollock break with traditional painting techniques—and then explore how the process of making art can become part of the artwork itself.

Students will learn art terms and new techniques. We will use a variety of media each month, including acrylic, watercolor, oil pastels, chalks and more. Please note that the picture used in this description is from a previous class. Upcoming planned activities may be different than what is shown above. This is to ensure that returning students are presented with new lessons and materials.
